BTV intends to continue to conduct their patrols

The Belize Territorial Volunteers say they are fearless in their quest to protect the country’s territory. Even in the face of incursions by the Guatemalan Armed Forces, like the incident that happened in September last year, the organisation’s leader, Wil Maheia says they intend to do more patrols in 2023.

By Maheia’s count, the BTV undertook between 30 to 40 patrols in 2022.
