Burglary at Trinidadian Judge’s Home in Belize Raises Concerns

The home of a Trinidadian Judge was burglarized this morning in Lord’s Bank, Belize District. Reports indicate that just after one o’clock this morning, the home of 44-year-old, Nigel Pilgrim was broken into.  According to the judge, he was asleep when he heard a loud bang.  Upon making checks, he came face to face with a dark-skinned, bald head man who then turned around and ran down the stairs and exited the house through the back door.  We understand that nothing was stolen.  It is yet to be ascertained if this was a random break-in or if the judge was targeted.  Judge Pilgrim was the justice who found the Paguada brothers guilty of murder earlier this year.  Despite the ordeal, Love News understands that Judge Pilgrim reported for work today, and was set to begin a murder trial.  The matter was adjourned due to the absence of prosecutors.
