Harry Arzu, Stann Creek Correspondent: Independence Police processed a scene where they discovered the charred remains of two persons in an Isuzu vehicle who were burnt beyond recognition in the savannah area of Farm 4 located on the Southern Highway at mile 38. According to reports the vehicle belonged to businessman Salvador Habet. We were told that 32-year-old Pablo Sosa who worked for Habet was driving the delivery truck. His family told Love News that the last time they saw Sosa was on Monday morning.
Police officers were tight-lipped about this case in today’s press briefing. Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero was able to give some preliminary details but stated that they were not sure how many bodies were in the truck. He also said that they had yet to identify the body or bodies and were waiting for a postmortem exam. Romero refrained from revealing other details about the truck, such as license plate number and whether it was registered to a business.
