Butane Prices Drop by Five Cents Across Belize

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) – otherwise known as Butane,– is now five cents cheaper.Supplies Control Unit in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Enterprise says the new controlled prices for butane took effect as of today, Monday, April 28. The import wholesale price everywhere will be set at $4.11 per gallon. The retail prices in the villages will be $1.33 per pound or $5.81 per gallon. In the cities and towns, the retail price will be $1.32 per pound or $5.76 per gallon. In the rural area, the retail prices in the villages will be $1.31 per pound or $5.71 per gallon. The Supplies Control Unit says that the price decrease was attributed to a drop in acquisition cost.
