Butane Truck Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Orange Walk Town

A butane truck driver was robbed this morning on Market Lane in Orange Walk Town just after eleven o’clock.  29-year-old, Roque Cortez was reportedly parking the truck belonging to Gas Tomza when two men showed up on a bicycle; one of the men pulled out a firearm, pointed it at Cortez and ordered him to get out of the vehicle.  The men got away with an estimated nine thousand dollars and a cellular phone.  The robbers left the bicycle at the scene, and drove off in the truck.  Love News understands that the truck was found at around one thirty this afternoon in Palmar Village, Orange Walk District.
