Cabinet Secretary Stuart Leslie has apologized to the editor of the Guardian newspaper, Alfonso Noble, for comments he made during an interview yesterday with the media. When quizzed about the terms of Geovannie Brackett’s contract as an information consultant with the Government, Leslie said that the last administration had hired Noble at the Press Office. Noble called us yesterday to deny that he received such a contract and that he never worked at the Press Office. Today, Leslie told us via WhatsApp that he has spoken to Noble to apologise for his mistake and adds that Noble was quote “kind enough to accept the clarification” End quote. It was Fortunato Noble, who has since left the Government service, had been employed with the Press Office.
