Cameron Williams Taken Back to Jail Under State of Emergency Provisions

Cameron Williams thought he was going home today, after spending 90 days on remand at the Belize Central Prison. However, his freedom was short-lived, as police officers were waiting right outside the courthouse to take him back to jail. Williams was wanted under the provisions of the State of Emergency declaration and taken back to prison for an additional 90 days. On May 8, Williams was remanded to prison without bail after he pleaded not guilty to being a member of a gang and contempt of judicial order.
