Car Dealer Faces Additional Firearm Charges in Burrell Boom

Burrell Boom Car Dealer has been slapped with two additional firearm-related offenses.  27-year-old, Howard Reyes is facing charges of keeping an unlicensed firearm and keeping unlicensed ammunition in his possession in May after a shooting incident in Boom. He has also been given additional charges for a firearm, connected to regarding a shooting incident in Saint Paul’s Bank back in May of this year. Late this evening, Reyes appeared unrepresented. No plea was taken from him and Senior Magistrate Baja Shoman explained to Reyes that these two new charges will just be read to him, since they are connected to the attempted murder charges read to him in May 2023. She also explained to him that bail still cannot be granted due to the nature of the offenses and so he will be further remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until July 14, 2023.
