CARICOM Heads of Government Meeting Set to Begin in Georgetown, Guyana

Leaders from across the region are gathering in Georgetown Guyana this weekend for the 46th regular meeting of the conference of CARICOM Heads of Government. The conference will run from February 25 to 28. The meeting will be chaired by Guyana’s President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ai and will also see speeches from outgoing Chair Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica, and Belize’s Dr. Carla Barnett, the CARICOM Secretary General. Today, Dr. Barnett gave some insight into the major topics scheduled to be discussed at the conference.

President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will be a special guest speaker at the conference.
