Caye Caulker Residents Updated on 66-Foot Beach Reserve Documentation Efforts

Caye Caulker residents were given an update on Friday night as it relates to the 66 feet of beach reserve.  Chairlady Seleny Villanueva Pott explained in a public meeting that the village council has been working with the Ministry of Natural Resources to get the documents in order.

Also present at Friday night’s meeting was the Police Commissioner Chester Williams.  The police and other senior ranking officers were present to listen to the concerns registered by the villagers.  In the end, Commissioner Williams indicated that he would be transferring some of the officers from the island.

The meeting was held at the community center.
