Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) looking to Open Office in Belize, CEO Explains Importance

The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) is looking to establish an office in Belize.  Love News spoke with the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Economic Development, Dr Osmond Martinez, who explained why it is necessary to have a headquarters in Belize.

Dr. Osmond Martinez, CEO, Ministry of Economic Development: “There has been a talk in having a CABEI office in Belize however it was just talk and we managed to include in the motion to insert in the agenda at the board of governors to place it on the agenda the building or for CABEI to have an office in Belize. The motion was accepted and right after the board of governors has approved and instructed the board of directors to start the evaluation and all the studies to look at what would be the needs that Belize will have in terms of having an office of CABEI here. So I believe that the studies and all the analysis should start sometime this year and our hope is to have the office either by the end of this year or early next year.”
