Chester Williams Honored with Portrait After Mural Controversy

A new piece of art was officially unveiled in Belmopan, capturing the legacy of Belize’s longest-serving Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams. The portrait was presented as a gesture of respect and recognition, following a recent controversy involving a mural that was removed just weeks after it was installed at the Police Training Academy. The presentation took place at the Ministry of Transport, where the former Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the tribute. Love News Belmopan correspondent Ljay Wade attended the unveiling to tell us more.
