Not only policy, but a rebranding of sorts for the UDP must also take place if the party intends on improving its image. Shyne says that one of the issues the party must deal with straightaway is finding a credible leader.
Reporter: Are you planning to maybe change or remove any of the current senators that have been appointed by the opposition ?
Moses “Shyne” Barrow, Leader of the Opposition: “That is under consideration but you know one step at a time.”
Reporter: And as it relates to leader of the party, because we know you’re leader of the opposition, speak to us about this. Now that you’re leader of the opposition what are you plans for the party and who do you see is best fit to lead the party in the right direction ?
Moses “Shyne” Barrow, Leader of the Opposition: “Well you know two names that come to mind is the Honorable Michael Peyrefitte Senator Peyrefitte and former mayor and president of the senate Darrell Bradley. I think those are two of our most outstanding UDP leaders and I look forward to a convention where the delegates would decide which of those two or anybody else that comes forth they want to lead the party.”
