Child Knocked Down and Killed

Police press officer ASP Fitzroy Yearwood confirmed that a Belize City boy was knocked down and killed on Saturday morning. The incident happened on Antelope Street Extension. Police say that the child was seen motionless, lying in a pool of blood. According to police, “sometime around 11:45 am the child was heading to a shop on Antelope Street Extension to purchase items for his mother and while., crossing the street he was hit by a white NEXTGEN company truck.”

The scene was processed and the boy was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital morgue. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the police.
