The month of March is being celebrated as child stimulation month under the theme “We are strong, learning and growing”. Several activities will be held during this month to commemorate the occasion. For today’s event, Mr. Cab from the District Education Center in the Ministry of Education held a gardening project for children. He called the Belize Audubon Society who had plants at the St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park for the occasion. The trees will be used in the Belize District as part of Early Childhood Stimulation Month. Also weighing in on the occasion was Bernard Wagner, Mayor of Belize City, who explained how the Council strives to include youth in the City Council.
The Education’s Early Childhood Education Unit shares with us the plans for the next few weeks leading up to the Festival of Arts, which includes storytelling, toy drives and Health and Wellness Week in schools.
