A couple residing in Roaring Creek, Cayo District had their home invaded by five armed thieves last night. The duo was at home just after nine o’clock when the robbers made their way inside and held them up at gunpoint. The victims were unharmed, but the men did steal several items and cash along with a Toyota Hilux pickup truck. Sometime this afternoon Police were able to apprehend one of the thieves, a 22-year-old construction worker of Racecourse Street, Belize City. Love News understands that the suspect was found with a nine-millimeter firearm at the time of his arrest. Additional reports to our newsroom say that the Police were able to recover the stolen truck as well a laptop, a tablet, a cellular phone, a keyboard and two watches, as well as an undisclosed amount of Mexican pesos. Police are now seeking his four additional persons suspected to be involved in the aggravated burglary.
