A three-day training workshop for the improvement of coconut production concluded this past Friday. The workshop was through the Mexican Institute of Forest, Agriculture and Fisheries, in collaboration with their Mexican counterpart SAGARP.

A three-day training workshop for the improvement of coconut production concluded this past Friday. The workshop was through the Mexican Institute of Forest, Agriculture and Fisheries, in collaboration with their Mexican counterpart SAGARP. The workshop covered a wide range of technical training materials and was attended by coconut producers, extension officers, representatives from the Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI) and technical personnel from the Central Farm Station. Facilitators for the training were Doctor Feliciano Gerardo Balderas from Nayarit, Mexico and Matilde Cortazar Rios from Quintana Roo, Mexico. At the completion of the workshop, all participants were presented with certificates.
