Concerns Raised Over Road Safety in Sandhill, Residents Call for Action

A concerned resident of the largest village in Belize Rural North, Sandhill has called in to raise their concerns about the Castro Road in their area. The concerns that were raised are that there are no speed bumps, (which has caused drivers to drive at a high speed through the road), no lamp post in the area, and no drains. The resident is calling on the area representative Marconi Leal Sr to hear his plea.

Our newsroom reached out to Belize Rural North area representative Marconi Leal Sr, who said that while he is not planning on putting speed bumps in the area, he will look into the matter.

Our newsroom understands that the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has been conducting grading road works in the area for the past two weeks.
