Corozal Duo Remanded to Prison for Attempted Murder

A duo of Corozal town were remanded to the Belize Central prison for the shooting of Orlando Vasquez. 19-year-old Stephen, Marlon Sanker and 21-year-old, Eric Andrew Rancharan appeared represented by Attorney Leslie Hamilton in the Corozal magistrate today where they were charged with a single charge of attempted murder. No plea was taken from them due to the nature of the offense; bail was denied, and they were remanded to prison until April. The charge stems from a shooting incident that occurred in Corozal on Saturday January 20 where Vasquez reported that he was shot twice to the body after he responded to a whistling sound outside his home.
