Over the weekend, gunmen opened fire on two homes in the Corozal District, minutes apart. The first shooting occurred on Sunday in Ranchito Village around one o’clock in the morning. The home of Armando Martinez came under gunfire, but no one was injured in the incident. Just fifteen minutes later, the home of Justice of the Peace Anthony Bradley on San Andres Road was also targeted. Bradley was not at the house at the time; however, his daughter and two grandchildren were present. Bradley told Love News that he arrived this morning to find the house and windows damaged by as many as thirteen bullets. He noted that while no one was hurt, the incident was still traumatic for his family. He also stressed that he has no idea why anyone would want to open fire on his house.

Police are investigating the shootings and say it is unclear whether the two incidents are connected.
