Two men are found with just under seven pounds of cocaine in Corozal. The men were caught on Tuesday by officers who were at the Ranchito Village Municipal Airstrip. Officers observed two men; one was handing a bag to another and upon seeing the police, the man with the bag hurried toward a white taxi van. Officers intercepted the individual and searched his bag. They found clothes inside and when they took these out, white parcels fell out. Police suspected it to be cocaine. The men were detained and the suspected drugs were weighted and amounted to over three thousand grams or just under seven pounds. Both men, one a resident of Corozal Town and the other of Yo Creek Village in the Orange Walk District remain in police custody pending drug trafficking charges.
