Council of Churches Thanks God for Safety While Supporting Flood Victims


The Council of Churches issued a press release today extending heartfelt gratitude to God for sparing Belize from the worst of Tropical Storm Sara. In the release they also expressed deep compassion for those severely affected by the storm, particularly in neighboring Honduras. In a statement, the Council emphasized prayers for individuals and communities facing loss and called for continued vigilance in light of potential flooding risks in the coming days.  The Council acknowledged the resilience of farmers, families, and businesses who have been impacted and commended emergency responders, as well as government and non-government agencies, for their crucial efforts during the storm. As Belizeans reflect on their blessings, the Council called for unity, gratitude, and generosity in supporting those in need, underscoring the resilience and shared identity that define the nation.
