Countdown to Crowning: Miss Universe Belize Pageant Approaches

In Just three days Belize will have a new beauty ambassador, the prestigious Miss Universe Belize. 10 delegates will strut the runway at the Belize City Civic Center on Saturday night as they compete for the title. Miss Universe is a competition for all kinds of women to champion causes, platform advocacies, and break barriers. It’s something these queens from this year all aspire to achieve as they proudly break barriers for women in pageant. Kendra Romero reports

If you had seen The Morning Show today, you would have noted that there were only 9 contestants for the Miss Universe Belize Pageant.  The tenth candidate, Mayalis Wright, was briefly disqualified from the pageant committee.  Wright had gotten the Glen Godfrey Law Firm involved and was able to get reinstated as an official contestant today.  Love News understands that Wright did not show up for the registration event, and as such was disqualified.  In a letter from the Miss Universe committee, they cited the need for professionalism and ultimately decided to give Wright a second chance to register tomorrow.
