CROSQ holds 32nd TMC meeting in Belize

The Belize Bureau of Standards in collaboration with the CARICOM Regional Organization for Standards & Quality (CROSQ) held its thirty-second Technical Management Committee meeting in Belize. The CROSQ Technical Management Committee is a Special Committee that is responsible to foster the development and coordination of regional standards and technical regulations for goods and services produced or provided in the region in order to support the establishment of the CARICOM Single Market Economy. Love News spoke with Adrienne Stewart, Chair of the Technical Management Committee who explains

 

Jose Trejo, Director of the Belize Bureau of Standards spoke about implications of the new building code for Belize.

 

Other matters, the meeting will look at include follow-up on the decisions that comes out of the meeting, evaluate the progress of the standards on the TMC work plan, and name the two most immediate, appropriate means of developing the TMC Network capacity. There are representatives from 13 Member-States present in Belize for the meeting.
