There has been a major overhaul in the national school curriculum and those new reforms, once finalised, will be implemented come September. Those reforms come following a months-long process of consultation with stakeholders nationwide. The idea is that the students will be able to gain knowledge and skills that will help them transition to higher education or the workplace. The Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Louis Zabaneh says that the focus has shifted to preparing students to assist with the economic development of the country whether they pursue education after high school or they venture into the world of work.
Dr.Louis Zabaneh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education: “The final draft has been completed and we’re now at the phase where I’ll be shortly handing that over to our senior minister he does a review along with our senior management and hopefully by the end of this month we should be able to have a press conference where we invite all the media to come and we explain the entire framework and how that will be revolutionizing our education going forward.”
