The weekend’s COVID-19 figures were released earlier this evening by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. While the death toll has not increased, there are six new confirmed cases to report along with twenty-one new recoveries. The Ministry’s Claudette Dakers-Norales provides the breakdown.
Claudette Dakers- Norales, Ministry of Health and Wellness: “A total of 1349 samples were tested, out of this 6 samples have resulted positive for COVID-19. There are 21 new recoveries to report. Today we also report that 3 infected persons are hospitalised. We have no one in the intensive care unit, and no new death to report. The cumulative report we are presenting is from March 2020 when we had our first case. The new total of active cases now stands at 101, these are those persons who have been confirmed, and are within the time frame to transmit the virus to date 118,990 samples have been tested nationally, out of this 12,674 samples have resulted positive for COVID-19. There are 64 individuals newly under investigation. A total of 323 deaths have been reported, but we are pleased to report that there are 12,239 total recoveries.”
The death toll currently stands at three hundred twenty-three.
