Dangriga Fisherman Charged for Possession of Stolen Gun

Dangriga fisherman, twenty-four-year-old Nolbert Smith was charged for possession of a stolen gun when he appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today. Smith was read a single count of handling stolen goods, to which he pleaded not guilty. Smith had already been charged in relation to the firearm back in November 2022 and was granted bail in the sum of four thousand dollars. He was allowed to keep his bail as the handling stolen goods charge stems from the same offense. His bail comes under the condition that he cannot associate with any known gang affiliates. Smith is due back in court on August 23.
