Dangriga Hosts Concert Tribute Honoring Late Music Icon Aurelio Martinez

Another tribute to the late music legend Aurelio Martinez is being held in Belize today, this time in Dangriga. The concert, which will see performances by various local artists is being held at the BTL Park. The concert is the second such being held this week to pay homage to the impact Martinez had on music and culture. The concert is being held in collaboration with the Dangriga Town Council. Dangriga Mayor Robert Mariano says he hopes that all residents will come out and support.

Martinez was among the passengers who died in the tragic plane crash in Roatan, Honduras, last week. He was widely known for his advocacy for the Garifuna culture and his role in developing and promoting Paranda music.
