Dangriga Marks Independence Day With Ceremony at Princess Royal Park

About 100 miles away, the Dangriga Town Council was having its own Independence Day ceremony at the Princess Royal Park, Mayor Robert Mariano highlighted the essence of nation building and as well as Belize’s sovereignty and challenges with trespassers.

A special part of Sunday’s Dangriga ceremony was the recognition of ten residents who have contributed significantly to the town’s development.  They were awarded with gift bags and certificates from the Jude Belize Foundation and its president, Elda Conorquie.
