And while the Covid-19 data is showing a rise in cases there are some residents who are functioning outside the protocols. In one instance, dozens of persons attended a beach party last weekend in the Havana area of Dangriga Town. It was an event that took the Police by surprise as explained by Superintendent Gerald Jones.
Superintendent Gerald Jones: “Last week that was the one that caught us off balance last week but we intend to police that area where we will have police officers to man those areas and to ensure that the people don’t come in no mask and majority again there because last week it was really congested and I think that we really need to tie it down for us to make sure that we charge people. So maybe we could echo the sentiment about mass gathering and then charges will be laid on persons who break the quarantine rules.”
