Dangriga Training Program Empowers 87 Individuals for Call Center Jobs

Eighty seven men and women completed a training program over the weekend that will assist them in becoming gainfully employed at a call center slated to be opened in Dangriga.  The training falls under the Belize Unity Institute for Leadership and Development (BUILD) program which is the brainchild of Dr Louis Zabaneh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology.  According to Dr Zabaneh, the training looked at communication skills, the do’s and don’t’s of an interview as well as professional decorum.

Guest speaker at Saturday’s graduation ceremony was the Mayor of Belize City, Bernard Wagner.  Mayor Wagner spoke to Correspondent Harry Arzu following the event.

To date, one hundred and thirty two persons have completed the training under the BUILD Program.  Also in attendance at the event were Dangriga Mayor, Robert Mariano, Senator Collet Montejo and Belize City councilor, Javier Castellanos.
