David Valencia Found Guilty in 2020 Murder of US National Robert Hurley

Four years after the fatal stabbing of US National Robert Hurley, David Valencia was found guilty of his murder. Justice Natalie Dixon handed down the verdict in the Belmopan High Court on Wednesday. His sentencing hearing was deferred to next year. On June 9, 2020, Valencia went to Hurley’s farm near Mile 68 on the George Price Highway, went into his bedroom, and committed the brutal attack. Valencia stabbed Sheldeen Evans in the back, but Evans survived the encounter. Meanwhile, Hurley was stabbed multiple times and was found dead in his room later.
