Dean Barrow Hints at Possible Comeback for Patrick Faber

As things might look grim for Patrick Faber’s future in the UDP, one man who is looking to the future with hope is former Party Leader Dean Barrow. Barrow, who shares a long history of working with Faber, has gone on record previously to say that Faber’s expulsion from the UDP would be “unfortunate”. He applauded the UDP’s recent efforts at reunification after the extended period of infighting and said he can picture Faber regaining his good standing in the party.

Dean Barrow, Former Prime Minister / UDP Leader: “I am happy that the UDP took the first step on Saturday in trying to put their party back together. I hope that although, as I understand it, Mr. Faber was not included among those that have been reinstated because of what happened at the meeting I would hope that, well, let me put it this way. I don’t doubt that in the future that difficulty will disappear and Mr Farber will be back in good standing.”

Faber served as the Minister of Education under the three Administrations led by Dean Barrow, beginning in 2008. He took the reins of leadership from Barrow just before the 2020 general elections.
