Sr.Superintendent, Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, NCIB: “On Monday the 18th day of November 2019, Allan Stamp, 72 years naturalized Belizean of Placencia Village, reported that he made contact with one Thomas Young on Facebook regarding the sale of a gold cart. Arrangements were made to make a down payment of $4,000 and the payment was received by a male person at Belama where he gave the person there a receipt. After the person received the money he left and thereafter the complainant is now unable to locate this person or to get the golf cart. Police are conducting an investigation to find out who this person is. The profile name that was on Facebook is Thomas Young, at Belama a Kirol descent male person showed up to collect the money. I want to warn the public that they should be careful and ask for more details and more facts before any transaction like that is done, ask for identification and verify before you make any payment as such.”
Police are currently looking for the person whom Young sent to pick up the deposit.
