Deputy PM Hyde Speaks on Senate Select Committee Proceedings

The media also spoke with Deputy Prime Minister Cordel Hyde on Wednesday’s inquiry. Hyde says that his ministry has been forthcoming with information to the Senate, and found it unfortunate that the witnesses, thus far have not been the same when questioned.

Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister: “I am not aware that he has refused to provide information. You know it would seem to me that the Senate has had access to information, they’ve gotten from my ministry. I don’t know the details of the request that they sent to the Cabinet Secretary and what was his response. I know that when they sent the request our ministry our ministry complied and so they’ve had the benefit and access of that.”

The date for the next Senate hearing is yet to be confirmed.
