Details Emerge in Doris Grant’s Multi-Million-Dollar Land Fraud Scheme in Northern Belize

Tonight, more details about alleged fraudster Doris Grant’s multi-million-dollar land scheme are emerging. As we’ve reported, Grant has been slapped with multiple charges ranging from obtaining property by deception, obtaining money transfer by deception, and theft. She is accused of duping several business owners in northern Belize.  She allegedly did so by holding a fake land clinic. Indications are that Grant pulled out all the stops, and orchestrated a scam in Shipyard Village that saw persons posing as employees of the Lands Department and collected monies for phony parcels of land. Today, Minister of Natural Resources Cordel Hyde weighed in on the case, and stated that his ministry is working with the police on the matter.

Grant claims she is innocent and believes that she is being targeted by the state.
