Diabetic Patient Praises KHMH for Life-Saving Treatment
It is not every day that someone stops by our newsroom to sing praises of the KHMH. As a matter of fact, these incidents are rare and far between. Today, however, 70-year-old, Sylvia Waight stopped by our studio to say thank you to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Waight is a diabetic who was diagnosed with a blood clot in her left lung and double pneumonia in August. She was taken to the KHMH for emergency treatment, and was able to make an excellent recovery; a celebration she attributes to the doctors and nurses at the hospital.
The Belize City resident, while grateful to the hospital, took this opportunity to make an appeal to the Minister of Health to remove fees from the KHMH.
