The last few days have seen the Faber and Saldivar campaigns heightened. In one of Faber’s video ads, he made reference to a speech delivered by the Prime Minister back in February 2013 at one of the party’s events. Back then Prime Minister Dean Barrow praised Faber, dubbing him the future of the United Democratic Party. For context, we bring you a snippet.
Fast forward six years and things have taken a turn. A release from the UDP sent out today states that the remarks are used out of context. According to the press release, the quoted words were said many years ago and PM Barrow would like to clarify that they should not be interpreted as an endorsement of the candidate sponsoring the ad.
