Digital Connect Center Launched in Valley of Peace: Access to Internet, Services Expanded

Residents in Valley of Peace Village in the Cayo district will now have access to computers and internet through the latest Digital Connect Center installed by the Government of Belize. The center, which is being housed at the Hillside Community Library, was inaugurated yesterday. At the inauguration, Minister of E-Governance Michel Chebat said that the center will allow the residents’ access to electronic services that the ministry is preparing to roll out.

The Digital Connect Centers Countrywide are being set up through the Building Resilient MSME’s Accelerating Digitization Project. The project is being implemented by the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) with funding from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project is valued at three hundred and sixty thousand US dollars.
