Doctors Warn of Rise in Respiratory Infections, Urge Public to Take Precautions

With the rise of respiratory infections over the past few weeks, doctors are encouraging the public to take precautions to protect themselves and family members who might be vulnerable. In recent weeks, there has been an uptick in people reporting respiratory infections and issues with breathing. Dr. Marvin Manzanero, an internist and bioethicist, told Love News that the increase in cases is common around this time due to rainy weather. He underscored that prevention is important as respiratory infections can have a greater impact on patients with pre-existing conditions.

Manzanero acknowledged that there is a public sentiment against masks due to the pandemic but stressed that they are a useful preventative tool.
