Last night, the Department of the Environment held a public consultation session on the proposed the Port of Belize Cruise Tourism and Port Expansion Project. The event was held as a part of Waterloo’s resubmission of their Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The company’s initial submission was rejected in December of last year and led to the developer’s threat of legal action against the government.
