Double Head Cabbage Re-Elects Village Council for Second Term

As village council elections continue countrywide, the villagers of Double Head Cabbage have elected their former council, led by Chairman Roman McCulloch, to serve a second term. Elections were held in the village on Sunday, May 25, with the polling station at Belize Rural High School. When the final votes were tallied, McCulloch had 104 votes, while his opponent, Isson Charles, had 43. McCulloch said that the decisive mandate highlighted the work that he and his councilors did and the trust they’ve earned in the village. He shared his vision for the village going forward.

While Double Head has around 250 registered voters, Love News understands that the list needs updating, and the current number is closer to 180.
