Drug Trafficking Charges Laid: Three, Including Pregnant Woman, Face Court

Three people, one of them a pregnant woman, were charged with drug trafficking in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court today. Wendy David, Kaylon Alford, Jayla David appeared unrepresented answering to a single charge of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another. They all pleaded not guilty and were offered bail in the sum of three thousand dollars each plus one surety of the same. They are due back in court on October 11. Police say that the trio was present during a search where they found three hundred thirty-eight point six grams of marijuana.
