Early-Morning Blaze Leaves Nine Displaced and Several Jobless on La Isla Carinosa

A devastating early-morning fire on La Isla Carinosa has left up to nine persons displaced and several others without a job. Just after 8 o’clock, a two-story wooden building on the island’s main street caught fire, and within minutes, the blaze fanned out to another structure. Despite the best efforts of residents and fire personnel, both structures were destroyed, and another received water damage. Reporter Vejea Alvarez tells us more.
