Eglah’s Training Center for Women and Families Celebrates 19 Years of Empowering Belizeans

Eglah’s Training Center for Women (& Families) in Belize City is preparing to mark nineteen years of offering training to Belizeans. The organization opened a resource center in Belize City in 2005, offering classes to help youths and adults with literacy, numeracy, life skills, and computer courses. Juanita Batun, Coordinator for Eglah, says that the anniversary is significant because the lives of hundreds of Belizeans have been positively impacted through the courses. Batun, a career educator, also explained that learning at Eglah is personalized for each client.

Eglah will officially mark its anniversary on January 31 with a meeting of current and past students to share experiences and discuss future activities.
