Elderly Businessman Shot in Critical Condition in Santa Elena

An elderly businessman from Santa Elena is fighting for his life after being shot early this morning. Reports are that around two AM, seventy-three-year-old Natalio Castañeda, the owner of NL’s Tortilla Factory, was leaving his home on Carmen Street when he was shot several times. Castañeda was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment and is said to be in critical condition. His wife, Luciana Castañeda, spoke with Love News’s Cayo correspondent Fem Cruz on how the harrowing event unfolded. She noted that this was not her husband’s first time being shot.

Luciana added that she has not gone to see her husband as yet, because he is still undergoing medical procedures. She also thanked everyone from the various church groups and congregations that have reached out to their family offering their support and prayers.
