Elderly Man Hospitalized After Chopping Incident in Corozolito Village

A resident of rural Belize is hospitalized after being chopped on Saturday. Police say around 3 o’clock, they received reports of a chopping incident in Corozolito Village, Belize District. Upon arrival, they found an elderly man, identified as Anthony Peters, suffering from a chop wound to his cheek. The Lord’s Bank villager was taken to the KHMH, where he remains in stable condition. Police say that Peters was socializing with another man when an argument ensued, and he was attacked.

Police are seeking one man; their investigations continue.
