Ellison Chavez Receives 2023 Manuel Heredia Scholarship

Ellison Chavez of Belize Rural South is the recipient of the 2023 Manuel Heredia Scholarship.  This scholarship award is one of 31 that will be distributed by the United Democratic Party.  According to opposition leader, Shyne Barrow, he has been able to expand the EOB BARROW EDUCATION FUND to cover students from the 31 Constituencies.  He noted that he first created the fund in 2015, and named it after his great grandfather, Eboneizer Oliver Bunton Barrow who was the District Commissioner of Belize and Secretary of the National Party that merged with the HIP to become the NIP and finally the UDP.
