Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Donates 500 Pairs of Footwear to Cayo West Division Residents

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has presented some 500 pairs of footwear to the Cayo West division.  The collection of shoes range from toddler sizes to size ten in adult footwear.  They range from sandals to tennis, and from loafers to water shoes.  According to Cayo West Area Representative, Jorge Melin Espat, residents are welcome to the office to get a pair at no cost.

Joge “Melin” Espat, Area Representative, Cayo West: “They are shoes for toddlers, all the way for adults, I would say, eight, nine, ten, when it comes to sizes. So we are going to be distributing those shoes as well. Anybody who comes to the office and if they wish to take a pair they are free to do so. I mean, it’s to give away. It’s for the one that needs it. So I mean… they are here while supply last. You can feel free to come to the office or if we have any issues available, definitely we will give it.”

Each pair of shoes are brand new and are valued at thirty to fifty dollars each
