Empower Her Project Teaches Graphic and Web Design to Southern Belize Women

Fifteen young ladies from southern Belize participated in a four-day workshop this week to learn graphic design and website design. The workshop was held under the Empower Her Project, a collaborative initiative between the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Ministry of E-Governance. The training, which was held in Dangriga Town, showed participants how to edit images and build websites. Cameron Willoughby, a facilitator with the Empower Her Project, said that the aim is to get more females into information technology fields.
